Chicken Soup for the Sore Shoulder

Hubby is doing fine. Was starved of food and water for 12 hours before they preped him for surgery. Then woke up 3 hours later, heavily sedated with pain killers but everything looks good.

He woke up with blood on his shoulder, droopy eyes, tubes left right and centre, and pins and needles through his entire right arm, in a sling. Luckily, I was there with soup. I was afraid he’d reject the soup because of the celery, but starving did the trick and he murmured a ‘delicious’ and I fed him 2 bowls.

Now he’s back asleep on a full stomach till the pain killers wear off. Yikes!

Thank you everyone for all your love and support. We are very grateful to have you as dear family and friends. Xx

4 skinless chicken thighs par boiled
1L salt reduced stock
1.5L boiling water
Woolies Soup Starter (carrot, celery, onion, parsnip, potato, turnip)
1/4 tsp salt
Combine in large pot, long boil 60 mins. Add water as required.
